Paula Moneypenny, Paula Moneypenny Counsellor

Business overview

Hi, I'm Paula, a qualified, experienced registered (MNZAC) counsellor, professional & clinical supervisor, facilitator & educator committed to supporting individuals, families and professionals in health and social practice. With a Master of Counselling from the University of Waikato and a Postgraduate Certificate in Professional Supervision from WINTEC, I bring academic expertise alongside years of practical experience.I specialise in trauma recovery, attachment work, self-concept development and mindfulness-based approaches. My work as a Narrative Therapist is informed by compassion-focused therapy, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, Polyvagal Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I integrate these techniques to support emotional regulation, self-awareness and resilience. As a Narrative Therapist, I believe the stories we tell about ourselves shape our identities. Through therapy, we can explore and rewrite these narratives to foster growth, empowerment and new possibilities.

I provide individual counselling and support for: Children and young people, adults and families. I provide group therapy and facilitate educational workshops. I offer professional supervision to practitioners in health and social services, and clinical supervision to counsellors & Psychologists.
